85 Years of Sound Doctrine
"So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."
Romans 12:5 King James Version
The Church of Christ
Jesus affirmed through the witness of His disciples that He would establish His church, and that no entity or power, including death, could hinder it (Matthew 16:18). The book of Acts (chapters 1 and 2) provides recorded evidence that the church was born on the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem around A.D. 33. This church, united in one body, shares one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, and one baptism, owned by one, Jesus Christ, who purchased the church with His blood (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:14; Ephesians 4:4). In the years that followed, it rapidly grew to fill Jerusalem, then Judea, Samaria, and throughout the world (Acts 1:8; Colossians 1:23).
What We Believe
In Mark 16:15, Christians are charged to preach the gospel to every creature. We understand that God loved the world so dearly that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for the salvation of our eternal life (John 3:16). After suffering crucifixion, Jesus rose again three days later (Mark chapters 15 & 16).
To obtain such eternal life, one must first hear the gospel (Acts 15:7). Then, believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (John 8:24). If you have heard the gospel and believed that he is, then repent of your sins (Luke 13:5), confess Jesus is the Son of God (Matthew 10:32-33), and be baptized for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38).
